The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested a Nigerian national Ifeamyichukwu Pius on January 14 while he was roaming around a five-star hotel in Juhu for delivering cocaine.
According to NCB sleuths, when the team approached the accused, he swallowed the cocaine pellets. The cocaine was concealed in plastic pellets weighing about 1 gram each.
The NCB team nabbed the peddler and took him to the hospital. The medical examination confirmed the existence of cocaine pellets in his abdomen. He was placed under medical supervision and 12 capsules were removed from his abdomen.
He was discharged from the hospital on January 18. Further investigation is in progress to identify his associates.
