Navi Mumbai: Nigerian national arrested with MD worth Rs 5.5 lakh

A Nigerian national named Abdul Razzaq Hassan was nabbed in Navi Mumbai carrying 55 grammes of mephedrone worth Rs 5.5 lakh. The arrest occurred at a housing society in Kharghar`s Sector 35 after authorities received a tip-off, reported PTI.
The Kharghar police confiscated the unlawful material and filed a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. Investigations into the accused`s peddling network are ongoing, the PTI report stated.
According to the report, the arrest reflects law enforcement`s ongoing efforts to combat narcotics trafficking in the region.
