A 60-year-old man accused in a 2005 dacoity case in Palghar has been arrested after being on the run for two decades. Police tracked him down to Khanvel in Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

A 60-year-old man accused in a dacoity case in Maharashtra’s Palghar district has been arrested after evading the authorities for two decades, an official confirmed on Wednesday.
According to PTI, the incident dates back to March 2005, when a gang of over a dozen dacoits stormed into an office at Ambatpada in Vasai. The assailants held the victim at knifepoint and looted Rs 43,000 in cash, a mobile phone, and a rifle along with a pistol that were stored in the office, stated Assistant Inspector Tushar Pachpute of Vangaon police station.
