The Yellow Gate Police on Saturday arrested three persons for negligence in the case of Papaa-305 (P305), the barge that sank in the Arabian Sea amid Cyclone Tauktae, leading to the loss of 86 lives.
All the arrested accused are employees of Papaa Shipping Company, including manager Prasad Ganpat Rane, director Nitin Dinanath Singh and technical superintendent Akhileshwar Tiwari. The trio has been booked under sections 304 (2), 338 and 34 of the IPC.
