The incident occurred on December 31 night when the accused, identified only as Valli, was returning home after partying with his friends, they said.

"On his way home he saw three children including the victim girl sleeping alone inside their house. Valli then went inside and allegedly raped the girl," said DSP (Urban) Srinivas Rao.
