A Worli resident has filed a PIL protesting the parking issues on the Seaface after the Bandra-Worli Sea Link was opened to public in June.

Rackhee Trust says that the traffic police put up no parking signboards on both sides of the road, which left residents with no place to park their cars.

In her PIL, Trust says, "As our buildings on the Seaface are old, we do not have parking facility. Earlier, we would park our cars on the road in front of our building without any objections from the authorities.

But now the traffic police tow away our vehicles." Trust has the support of the Worli Walkers Association, which had earlier filed various PILs opposing the construction of the Sea Link.

Dr Neelam Nijhara, chairman of the Worli Walkers Association, said, "We have been fighting for residents' benefit even before the Sea Link was built.

But after it was constructed, problems like parking and crossing roads have increased three-fold."
