Said her driver Sayyed Mustaq, "On Thursday, I drove madam and her younger son for ice cream, then to her relatives' places in Bandra and Andheri.



She was very happy. When I left that night, she told me 'Kal daandi mat maarna' (Don't take a holiday tomorrow). But when I went the next day, she was no more."

However, Niket Kaushik, deputy commissioner of police, stated that Chowdhry had been depressed about a harassment case she had filed against husband Mark Etkins.

"The motive behind her suicide is not known, but she was depressed," he said.
