Five people were killed and five others were grievously injured after a trailer rammed into four vehicles on Mumbai-Pune express highway near Khalapur toll plaza late on Monday night.

Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation's veterinary officer Dr Vaibhav Zunjare and three of his family members died on the spot. A 58-year-old woman Manju Nahar, resident of Goregaon, also lost her life in the mishap.
Dr Zunjare (41) was returning home with his mother Usha (63), wife Vaishali (38), daughter Shriya (8), and son Arnav (11). Arnav survived the mishap. Meanwhile, Manju Nahar was travelling with her husband.
