Work on Dighe station on the trans-harbour line between Thane and Airoli stations has reached an advanced pace and will be completed by this year-end. This will be the 81st station on the Mumbai Central Railway (CR) line. As the work on Thane-Diva lines has been completed, the Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) said it will now prioritise and focus on finising the new Dighe station. The station will be a starting point for a new proposed elevated corridor from Airoli to Kalwa.

The station will consist of a ground-plus two-storey structure on both sides for booking offices, with four ticket windows on either side
