Four days after a 17-year-old stunt biker claimed two lives and injured 5 others on Wadala bridge while trying to pull off a wheelie, traffic police officials have swung into action.
Officials began a drive to curb accidents. And as part of the drive, officials caught 87 motorists for driving under the influence on Saturday night and fined another eight for rash driving.

The traffic police carried out nakabandis at various spots across the city. The culprits were fined Rs 3,000, under Section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
Brijesh Singh, joint commissioner of police (Traffic) said, “We have been carrying out this drive for some time. But the people we nab is hardly 10 per cent of the total people who drink and drive.” No arrests have been made so far.u00a0
