Anil may hire brother Mukesh's chopper maintenance company

Having cancelled the maintenance contract of the three Bell 412 choppers with Air Works following the alleged sabotage of one of his helicopters, Anil Ambani is now looking at a new and reliable maintenance and repair hand.

Having cancelled the maintenance contract of the three Bell 412 choppers with Air Works following the alleged sabotage of one of his helicopters, Anil Ambani is now looking at a new and reliable maintenance and repair hand.


Among the companies shortlisted by the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) are those hired by several leading industrialists, including his brother Mukesh Ambani. On April 23, pebblesu00a0 were found in Anil's chopper.

According to ADAG officials, it's a close contest between the Maintenance, Repair and Overhauling (MRO) companies Max Aerospace, which is employed by Mukesh and Indmar.

These MROs boast of a list of other high-profile clients such as Ratan Tata, Vijay Mallya and Narendra Modi.

"Negotiations are in progress with the two companies and a contract will be inked soon," said an ADAG official, requesting anonymity.

However, an Air Works spokesperson denied ending the contract with ADAG.u00a0 "Air Works has not received any official communicationu00a0 from ADAG on termination of the contract (as of 5.30 pm yesterday).

We are working on replacing the chopper's damaged component, as ADAG is one for our key clients," said the spokesperson.
