Four years after the project was first mooted, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will finally construct seats on the Haji Ali promenade, as part of a grand beautification plan

Four years after the project was first mooted, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will finally construct seats on the Haji Ali promenade, as part of a grand beautification plan.

What's more, the seats will be shaped like symbols of water signs Scorpio, Cancer and Pisces. Sunday MiD-DAY has the blueprints of the new promenade (see pics).

However, you may have to wait a while for the project to begin. The cost of the project was initially pegged at Rs 48 crore, but due to delays, the sum has now shot up to Rs 100 crore.

Standing Committee Chairperson Rahul Shewale said, "We are negotiating with the contractor, since we want to beautify the promenade according to our plans. The municipal commissioner will give his nod to the project, and work will begin this year."

Shewale said the city beautification project is on BMC commissioner Swadhin Kshatriya's priority list and the work in Haji Ali will be completed before the next BMC elections scheduled for February 2012.

Western astrology has 12 star signs divided into four categories: Water, Air, Earth and Fire. Each sign has a particular symbol that depicts the shape of the constellation of the star sign.

For instance, the Cancer sign has a constellation that is shaped like a crab, and is depicted with two figures shaped like six and nine.
