Ansh Pinto was saved by a passerby, who disappeared after taking him to a hospital, after a road accident that killed his parents

This little boy will be wheeled into the operation theatre today to undergo a series of surgeries. Ansh Pinto (10), has severe injuries on his arms, head and internal organs after he met with an accident on Monday


morning. The accident left him orphanedu00a0- his parents Raymond (37), and Indu (39), succumbed to their injuries. News of the tragedy has not been disclosed to him yet.




The Pintos were on their way to Goa for a vacation, when a truck jumped the divider and rammed in to their Wagon R near Chinchoti in Vasai. Said Ajay Talwar, Indu's brother, "Raymond, who took a direct hit from the speeding truck, was badly bruised as was my sister.

By the time I reached the accident spot, just 10 minutes from my house, Ansh had already been taken to hospital. We could not even thank the man who saved my nephew."u00a0u00a0

Doctors, who are treating Ansh at the Kokilaben Dhirub-hai Ambani Hospital said, "He is under observation and we are monitoring whether he is bleeding internally."

Raymond's uncle, Salvador Pinto, said it was now up to the police to nab the truck driver, who is absconding. The deceased were laid to rest in Sacred Heart Church in Andheri last evening.
