State labour minister Chandrashekhar Sahu said that an initiative has been taken to stop labourers from leaving Chhattisgarh and as a part of the move a register of those running away to other states will be prepared.
He said the labour department officials have been instructed to collect information about the migrating lot, note their time of leaving and whether they are interested in coming back to the state again. According to the labour department, hundreds of labourers, mostly from Raipur, Bilaspur, Dhamtari, Mahasamund and Raigarh districts leave the state in search of rural employment.
