Nearly 10 days after a model filed a rape case against her coordinator, a similar incident has been reported at Oshiwara police station on Friday. A 27-year-old model has filed a case of rape against her coordinator for allegedly raping her on the pretext of giving her a debut in a Tamil movie.

The model, who has previously played small roles in television serials, while struggling to get a break in Hindi movies, got in touch with the accused, S Datta via Facebook, around six months ago. Last week, Datta asked the model to come to Hyderabad to meet a producer who wanted to make a Tamil movie. However, when she reached the city, Datta told her that the producer was not in town for the next three days.

He then took her to Ooty, where they stayed in a single room in the hotel and he took advantage of her. According to the complaint filed, Datta raped her thrice in three different rooms and later ran away. The girl called her friends in Mumbai who helped her come back to the city. She filed a case after reaching Mumbai.

Sources from the police station said that based on the complaint, a case has been registered under section 376 of Indian Penal Code, against Datta. However, since the crime occurred in Ooty, the case has been transferred there. mid-day had reported on May 20, about a similar case filed against a model coordinator who called a model to a guesthouse in Madh Island for an assignment, and allegedly raped her.
