According to police reports, the 29-year-old waiter has been working with Rajdhani Express for five years. On Friday around 8.25 am, he was serving breakfast in the first-class AC coach. Kumar said, “I was bringing breakfast for all passengers.
When I served the apple and banana (part of the breakfast) to her, she immediately told me that the size of the apple was too small, and asked me to call the manager. I went immediately, but it took about 15 minutes to bring him as he was in another coach for a round.”
Based on the FIR report, although Kumar apologised, Kenia pushed and slapped him. Rajendra Trivedi, Senior Inspector, Mumbai Central (GRP), said, “The complainant came to us in the morning after an altercation took place between him and passenger Chandrika Kenia when the train was crossing Virar.
It was related to the breakfast supply and Kenia allegedly slapped the waiter.” The police have filed the complaint under Sections 332 (causing hurt to deter public servant from duty ) and 323 (causing hurt) of IPC.
