Little Mucu had become a constant companion to Parag Patel and his seven-year-old daughter in the few months he spent with them. So, when the four-month-old pug went missing from their Goregaon home on December 27, 2008, Patel decided to leave no stone unturned to get his beloved pooch back.
Sanjay Shah, Patel's assistant, claimed they know the people behind the dognapping. Said Shah, "I am sure Mucu has been stolen by those 20-25 people who came to Patel's house when he was not in town last week.
They alleged that Patel was involved in shutting down theu00a0 firm they worked for and demanded compensation. Though Patel didn't have anything to do with it, I believe they took Mucu when they realised they couldn't extract money from us.
"Patel is very attached to Mucu and wants him back at any cost. His daughter is also very upset. We want those who have taken Mucu to bring him back to us. We are ready to pay the amount promised in the ad."
Shah added that he was worried about Mucu's health. He said, "The dog is very attached to Patel and his daughter and am worried about his well being. He needs to be given injections and medication. I hope nothing wrong happens to him."
