He is expected in the city for the music launch of 'Ghar Wapsi' movie in which he has sung a patriotic number, moviemaker Suhaib Ilyasi said here on Sunday.
This would be Ghulam Ali's first event in the city after his proposed concerts in Mumbai and Pune, scheduled for October 9 and 10, were cancelled in the wake of threats and protests by the Shiv Sena.

The 'Ghar Wapsi' music launch will see the participation of singers Sunidhi Chauhan and Sonu Nigam.
When contacted on Monday, top office-bearers of Shiv Chitrapat Sena, the film wing of Shiv Sena, declined to comment without further details on the matter.
The Shiv Sena is opposed to all forms of cultural and sporting links with Pakistan until it stops killing Indian soldiers in border skirmishes.
Ilyasi, meanwhile, expressed hope that the event would pass smoothly, though it is yet not clear if Ghulam Ali will also perform.
