In another case of robbery by a domestic help, a 61-year-old woman was injured when she tried to stop the robber at her house in Dindoshi.
According to the police, on Saturday, Navin Ashok Agarwal (34), a garment trader, had gone out of the house to visit an aunt with his father, leaving his mother Chandrakala in the care of the domestic help, Raju.
Police officers investigating the case said that Agarwal had employed Raju a month back.
At 1.45 pm, Chandrakala awoke to the sound of a cabinet door slamming. She went to her son's bedroom to find Raju stealing cash from a cupboard.

"When Chandrakala saw that Raju had stuffed his pockets with cash, she tried to stop him. In a fit of panic, Raju lifted a wooden stool from near the bed and smacked it on Chandrakala's head.
She collapsed to the ground and he fled with the cash," said Maruti Rathod, assistant commissioner of police, Dindoshi. Raju made away with Rs 90,000 in cash.
When Navin arrived at his house an hour later, he found his mother lying in a pool of blood on the floor.
Navin rushed his mother to Lifeline Hospital, and later shifted her to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital where she has been admitted to the ICU.
"We have registered a case of robbery against Raju. The Agarwals do not know Raju's last name or his address. He used to stay in the watchman's quarters below their building. We are trying to trace him," said Rathod.
