Receptionist Lishy Velayudhan (23) wrote he cheated her after promising marriage
"I found the second note below the bed on Saturday. It is in Malayalam, in her handwriting," said a distraught Velayudhan Kondath, father of Lishy Velayudhan (23), who committed suicide on October 8.

The police had already found a suicide note by Lishy, who worked as a receptionist at a car showroom, in her personal diary at her rented apartment in Malwani, Malad, last Thursday.

It was addressed to her boyfriend and stated she was upset he rejected her.
Lishy's second note (a copy of it is with MiD DAY) is dated September 20 and states, "If anything happens to me, the entire blame will go to Sunil Poojary because he cheated me by promising to marry me.

I will kill myself. He abused me and took my gold and money. He had relations with other girls and even threatened to kill me. He needs to be caught before he absconds."

He also took her ATM card, money and jewellery. She was very worried about him, as he also abused her."

He added, "We want him to be punished, but the police have not yet taken any action against him."
Senior Police Inspector J Hargude of Malwani police station said, "The first note spoke about being in love with him and it clearly states that she committed suicide.

We u00a0u00a0got the second note from her father and are investigating the case. If anyone is found guilty, he will be arrested."
The Case
The house where Lishy stayed in Malwani belongs to Suresh Jalgaokar. When Suresh saw water dripping into his ground-floor flat, he sent his son Manish to Lishy's first-floor apartment.
He scaled down from the terrace into her flat after Lishy did not open the door and found her hanging from the ceiling fan.
