Malegaon: Cops asked file chargesheet

Special MCOCA judge YD Shinde Tuesday ordered the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad to file the chargesheet in the Malegaon blasts case in whichu00a0six persons were killed and over 100 injured in two blasts on September 29, 2006.

However, the defence argued that the ATS could not apply the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in the case as except one accused, Ashok Dhawde, no one else had any previous case against him or her, which is a requirement under the said Act. Dhawde is accused in Nanded and Parbhani blasts.
