It isn't uncommon for people to ask for specialised number plates or leading their entire life on the basis of numerology. However, nowadays parents are pushing the envelope and ordering for C-sections on special dates. This time around the magical date is 11.1.11.
While gynaecologists were flooded with requests for C-sections on this numero uno date, 22-year-old Samruddhi Dhawale gave birth to a baby exactly at 11.11 am at KEM hospital on 11.1.11.

"My due date was near and I too wanted my baby to be born on a special date and luckily by God's grace the baby was born at 11:11 am making my child extra special," said an ecstatic Dhawale, a resident of Sewri.
The same happiness was echoing at Dr LH Hiranandani Hospital at Powai where six children were delivered on the auspicious date. Gynaecologist Dr Anita Soni said, "Such dates always have a significance attached to it.

On January 1, 2011, we had similar requests from several parents and the situation was the same even yesterday. It is a great pleasure to see the joy on the parents' faces."
In fact, an Israeli-based couple, who had hired a surrogate was keen to have their baby on the special date and succeeded. In another case, a 40-year-old woman after undergoing in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) delivered a baby on the special date at 11 am.
Meanwhile, another baby boy was born at a nursing home in the city at 1 pm. The proud father Rahul Dighe, said, "I am so happy. God has gifted us this baby on such a special date. Now, my son can always boast of the special date he was born on."
Explaining the significance of the date, Bhavikk Sangghvi, an astro-numerologist based in Juhu, said," The date is primarily ruled by number two, which represents the moon and number eight (Saturn-Capricorn) and number seven (Neptune).

Since number two and seven always go hand in hand, the person who is born today is ruled by these two numbers twice.
