“Dani’s sons are quite young and he wanted one of them to peruse his further studies in the USA. We hope to fulfill his dream now,” said the tournament president Anish Valia.

Dani was considered to be an ace bowler for Arya Lions team. He fell down while fielding but did not complain at all. It was when he was in the dressing room that he collapsed while drinking water. He was then rushed to the Bombay Hospital, where he was declared dead. He had no history of cardiac problems.
