It will be a tough time for motorists from Mumbai, both north and south bound, as Mahim will become a fortress in itself on Thursday afternoon. Cops have barricaded roads leading to Yakub Memon's house near Mahim Police station.

Memon's body is expected to arrive at around 12 noon in Mumbai by flight, which departed from Nagpur at 10.30 am. Due to this, the Traffic Police too has put restrictions in place for vehicles in and around Mahim.

Officers from Mumbai Traffic police informed that Cadell Road will be closed for both north and south bound vehicles near Mahim Dargah. This dargah is close to Memon's building -- less than 5 minutes away. "We request motorists to use LJ Road, Senapati Bapat Marg to travel," said the traffic cop.

Barricading had begun since yesterday as the local cops had posted their men. Moreover, there were handful of traffic cops at Mahim depot junction - that leads to Western Express Highway on the north end - since yesterday to monitor the vehicle movements. Even the tree cutting that was underway few blocks away from Memon's building has been stalled.
