The woman had made a promise to her daughter-in-law that she would protect her in case her son tries to abuse her again

A 45-year-old Mankhurd woman strangled her drug-addicted son to death to save her daughter-in-law from his abuse. Police say she then sat next to her body the entire night and wept after committing the murder on Tuesday evening.
