Train services on the Central Railway were severely affected after a tree fell on the tracks between Dadar and Parel railway stations on Tuesday evening
Thousands of Mumbaikars were inconvenienced as suburban train services on the main line of Central Railway (CR) was affected during evening peak hour after a branch of a tree fell on the Over Head Equipment (OHE) near Dadar station.

The incident happened close to Dadar station platform 6, which is the fast line.

The incident occurred at around 6 pm when the tree, which was inside the railway quarters, collapsed on the overhead cables above the tracks.
Power had to be switched off on the other line to allow personnel to remove the branch.

Commuters had to deal with trains running late by over 20 minutes and severely crowded locals due to the incident.
The collapsed tree has been removed and train lines were restored at 8.30pm. In all 30 services were cancelled due to the incident.
