After visiting the Lovegrove pumping station at Worli which is in its final stages of work, Mehta instructed officials to make it functioning by the end of this month.

This stormwater pumping station will prevent flooding in areas such as Jamshetji Jijibhoy road, Maulana Aazad road, Vallabhbhai Patel road, Keshavrao Khadye road, Dadasaheb Bhadkamkar road, R S Nimkar road, Dr N M Joshi road, Dr E Moses road etc.

Mehta also visited the storm-water pumping station at Cleveland bunder and instructed officials to complete work on the Britannia Pumping station in Sewree and Lovegrove pumping station as soon as possible as this will largely prevent flooding in different parts of the city.
