Online junior college admission deadline extended till June 27

Owing to several errors in the SSC results that was announced recently, the deadline for students to upload their application forms on the junior college admission website has been extended by the deputy director of education. Students can now submit their online applications till June 27, 4pm. Corrections, if any, will have to be cleared in the same period. The rest of the admission schedule remains the same.

This decision was taken after students complained that their forms were not getting accepted online due to mistakes in their hall tickets, or results.

"We are also worried that after goof-ups in hall tickets and results, there can be errors in the hard copy of marksheets as well. We don’t want our children to suffer in the end so we requested the education department to extend the deadline to make sure that students have finished the process," said Prashant Redij, member of headmaster’s association in the city.

Deputy director of education, N B Chavan, said, "The deadline has been extended for the benefit of children. There’ll be no more errors but for the sake of students' fears, we have extended the deadline." The first online merit list will be announced on July 2 at 5pm.
