One such escort agency lizaray.com uses the name of model-turned-actress Lisa Ray to lure customers, while another agency named Bombay Bollywood Escorts claims to have several actresses and models at their 'service'.
Beauty pageants are also cashed in on. From Miss India to Miss Goa to Miss Delhi, agencies with names associated with various beauty contests are extremely popular.
Speaking with MiD DAY, an agent of Miss India Escorts, said, "None of our escorts have participated in any beauty contests. However, such names give a boost to our business."

However, an agent of Bombay Bollywood Escorts claimed that their agency has roped in a few models and television actresses. "We have girls from the entertainment industry working for us.
However, we cannot disclose their names. We only reveal their identity ones the deal is through," he said.
When questioned about the booming escort agencies in the city that operative in the name of Bollywood actors, Rakesh Maria, joint commissioner (crime), said, "We had received such complaints in the past and had taken action such agencies.
