For the first time, a candidate meets the community. South Mumbai contestant Meera Sanyal promises to look into problems

There were hardly any questions for Sanyal, but the ones asked were on Article 377. Asked how she would solve the problems related to their community, she said, "I currently do not have anything for the LGBT
community in my agenda, but it's immaterial if I win or lose, I will still work for the welfare of the community."

The LGBT community was overwhelmed that for the first time, a candidate had come to talk and listen to their issues and problems. "None of the major politicians would have come to meet us. Even in the past, they haven't ever supported us. But Meera came on the first invite and has promised to do something for us," said Anand.
