Students appearing for their MA Part 1, Political Science paper on Friday were in for a surprise. The marks assigned to each question on their question paper showed a total of only 80 marks, whereas it is a hundred marks paper.
"We usually have five questions of which we have to attempt any four, for 25 marks each. However the question paper showed that each question was only for 20 marks, so we were confused if there is another part to the same paper which we hadn't received," said one of the students.
Few minutes into the examination and Mumbai University officials were made aware of this error. A clarification was quickly sent to all exam centers. Students were asked to make changes to the question paper as instead of 25 marks, only 20 was printed.
