Noisy scenes marked a meet organised by the Congress on Tuesday to discuss party vice-president Rahul Gandhi's scheduled visit to Mumbai on January 15 and 16.

There was slogan shouting as those belonging to rival factions tried to ensure that the route of Rahul's rally covered specific areas.

Senior party legislators Naseem Khan and Aslam Shaikh also reportedly indulged in a scuffle during the meeting.
Congress MLC Bhai Jagtap, however, refuted such reports.
The two legislators also denied having indulged in any altercation.
Sources said that Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to meet leaders of Mumbai Regional Congress Committee during his two-day visit to the city.
