Irritated man fields around 50 calls a day on his home phone that has same number as shop in TV serial Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma
Juhu resident Dhruv Sharma (21) is tired of fielding calls for Jethalal ada, a character in the comedy serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma on SAB TV.
His home phone number has been displayed on Jethalal's shop board in the serial.
Sharma, a marketing assistant in a jewellery shop in Andheri, says he has been getting as many as 50 calls a day on his home phone for the last one month, asking for Jethalal.
"People of all ages from all corners of the country call for Jethalal. I sent a complaint by e-mail to SAB TV,
but nothing has come of it.
I miss important calls because I am busy with calls for Jethalal for the past two months.
Some callers are really rude. When I called the officials, they assured me that they would do something."
In defence
A SAB TV spokesperson said, "We did get a call from Sharma yesterday. When we tried calling the number, it was unreachable. We've not received any mails from him.
We feel he is doing this for publicity because we don't know whether he is saying truth. But we have sorted out the problem now."

An assistant director in the film Ghajini got a random number temporarily tattooed on the body of the character played by actor Aamir Khan.
The number turned out to be Kanjurmarg residentu00a0 Dr Surekha Verma's number. Verma had a tough time answering calls asking for Aamir after the film released.
An editor of a Hindi newspaper in Kolkata had the same telephone number as a female character in a film song. The number happened to be the title of Bengali singer Anjan Dutta's popular song 2441139.
Dutta sings 'Eta ki 2441139? Bela Bose, tumi parchho ki shuntey?' The editor received several calls asking for Bela Bose.
