With SSC results due today, students spent the night SMSing and calling friends

SSC students in the city spent a sleepless and anxious night on the eve of their results.

The students traded SMSes and phone calls to express their anxiety, soothe tense classmates and ease the pressure of awaiting the results, which are scheduled to be out at 11 am today.

A sleepless Zeal Sanghavi, an SSC student from Vile Parle, said, "My classmates and I decided to spend our night chatting and remembering our school days."

Kavya Sanghavi, a student from Vidyanidhi School, Juhu, who was just as anxious, said, "My cellphone's inbox
is full of messages from friends on how scared and tense they are."

Among the flurry of messages were also forwards with shlokas and sayings, imploring students to pass it on to friends for a good score.

Meanwhile, the equally anxious parents spent the night trying to convince their children to grab some rest.

"I hope my daughter scores well and that the Internet doesn't run slow. But I wish she would get some rest tonight instead of worryingso much," said Kavya's mother Achal.
