Intelligence agencies have discovered clinching evidence, which indicates that Pakistan-trained terrorists have managed to smuggle a huge cache of RDX and other explosives into the country.
According to an intelligence report, these explosives were smuggled to target railway installations, refineries, shopping malls, cinema halls and hotels. A copy of the report, available with MiD DAY, indicates that the explosives were concealed in a cement consignment imported from Pakistan.
Intelligence agencies have launched a drive to check all commodities imported from Pakistan, with a special lookout for cement consignments. The border districts in Punjab were the first to learn about the smuggled RDX, and have begun conducting search operations.
The report also warned cops to keep watch at crowded places, bus stands, railway stations, malls, places of worship, cinema halls and hotels.
