The 82-year-old leader, who was admitted to the Lilavati hospital in suburban Bandra on February 26 after he complained of fever and weakness, was shifted from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) yesterday and is doing fine, they said.
The Sena patriarch has been meeting visitors since Saturday and has interacted with many political bigwigs during the last five days, including NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Chhagan Bhujbal.
Raj visits Thackeray
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray today visited t Bal Thackeray at Lilavati, hospital sources said.
This is the second time recently that Raj has visited his uncle, Thackeray. Earlier, a day after Sena leader was admitted in the hospital following a complaint of fever and weakness, Raj had visited his uncle on February 27.
Bal Thackeray is recovering in a private room on the 11th floor of the hospital and is guarded by his personal body guards, sources added.
