Today, he, along with 250 cyclists (some of who have been fitted with Jaipur Foot), is participating in Cause Cyclothon, which will be held from 7 am to 9.30 am from Worli to Nariman Point.

Sandeep Shah, president of Rotary Club Mumbai, who is organising Cause Cyclothon, said, “The main aim is to help people in need. We urge everyone to donate for our cause.”

Apart from this, Patil will also participate in Race Across America (RAAM), a high-endurance cycling race covering 12 states and 88 countries in the US from June 10 to June 21, this year. The cost of one Jaipur foot is Rs 3,000.

By covering the 3,000-mile distance in RAAM, he aims to raise money for 3,000 people with loco-motor disability.
