The trial was scheduled to begin in March but was postponed after Amarnath Grover was unable to attend court due to surgery. On May 7 last year, Susairaj and Mathew were arrested for allegedly murdering TV executive producer Neeraj Grover and cutting his body into pieces and later burning them in the Manor jungle in the outskirts of the city.
When contacted, Amarnath Grover only said that he wants justice and that the accused should be punished. On the last hearing, the prosecution handed over a copy of the statements recorded by the police between May 6 and May 21, 2008, under the missing complaint registered by Susairaj, who had then claimed to be Neeraj's girlfriend.
Susairaj had first lodged a missing complaint with the suburban Malad police informing them that Neeraj was not traceable since May 7, when she saw him last. The documents were handed over to the two accused.
