Crime Branch officers said that in one of her recent statements, Vora revealed that she was in touch with Vinod Chembur and Joseph Paulson, arrested for providing logistics, and the two shooters, including Satish Kaliya.
Besides, sources within the Crime Branch have disclosed that Vora has not been cooperating with the investigators and is misleading the cops.
The crime branch officials are now hoping that the three mobile phones and a SIM card submitted by one Murtuza in the court will help them establish her link with the underworld. Murtuza, who had claimed to be Vora's close associate, had appeared before the Special Court on Friday, wishing to surrender the handsets and the SIM card before the court.
Seeking custody
Following Vora's statement, the Crime Branch has now sought Paulson's custody. Once through with Paulson, the officials are planning to interrogate Kaliya and Chembur.
On Saturday, cops filed a chargesheet against the 12 accused. Sources said Vora is likely to be named in the supplementary chargesheet.
