The whole Mumbai BMC versus citizens complaining about potholes has been raging on for the longest time. Citizens sent pictures to news papers, fixed potholes themselves and the straw that broke the camel’s back was the viral video RJ Malishka made.
The video became an instant viral sensation, and the BMC received a lot of backlash for all the monsoon related problems that Mumbaikars have to suffer. In what seemed like payback, the BMC sent RJ Malishka a notice, saying that she had mosquito breeding spots in her apartment.
Amidst all the mêlée, Comedian José Covaco decided it was time to break the ice and made a video supporting the BMC, saying that potholes were actually not potholes, but were in fact ‘special amenities’ that the government were providing its citizens.
Watch the video below
I checked on a few areas near Bandra myself. Shame on these Mumbai citizens constantly blaming our authorities for things like potholes. pic.twitter.com/RuidDTO4Lo

The comedian’s satirical take on Mumbai’s situation immediately went viral with people thanking him for his effort.
Thank you for doing this for us mumbaikars...

Then there were others who cautioned him about adverse actions from the BMC for ‘maligning’ their name
Do you know everytime you say pothole BMC people are ready to do "survey"of your home.

And then there were others who told him to fix the potholes himself
(2/n)u may form a local group, pool in a nominal fee n get these potholes filled up urself as well. It's ur city.

But what really was the funniest part of the twitter responses was when a man who doesnt live in Mumbai told Jose that the pothole he had filmed were not big enough to be considered problematic.
Chutiye itna sa khadda mila dikhane ko, Barish se ho hi jata hain, Next Day bharwana chahata hain ? pic.twitter.com/bNXoXUfTll

And, Jose's response was perfect
Aadarniya don sahab.. Isse se accha khadda dekhna hai toh Mumbai aa jao. Mumbai darshan ke liye ticket karid leta hoon.
