Gender is certainly not destiny for these adventurous transgender lovelies prettying up for India's first ever beauty pageant for eunuchs to be held in Goa on February 10.
Filmmaker Ganesh Kharwar, who is organising the event, which is expected to cost Rs 4 crore, says he plans to hold auditions in nine cities across India, from January 5.
The top three transgender finalists will walk the ramp in Goa alongside professional women models in the very first 'Nazakat Queen' beauty pageant.
"The winner and two runners up will feature in my film on India's Kinnar (transgender) community that will be called 'World third, human third sex' that will be made immediately following the contest," explained Kharwar, who is working on the show with his associates at the V Care FM International.

Said Sharda, a eunuch who is a part of the organising committee for the event, said, "We are as beautiful as anyone. With the entire community supporting us, we expect to attract thousands of contestants."
While the organisers plan to provide makeup paraphernalia and beauticians to the eunuchs on the big day, Kharwar said he is yet to decide who the female models to be invited for the events would be.
