A N Roy, the director general of police (Maharashtra), whose appointment was quashed by the Bombay High Court a week ago, on Wednesday applied for a three-week leave, according to a report in the Times of India.
The Bombay high court bench, headed by Chief Justice Swatanter Kumar, while setting aside Roy's appointment which was made in February 2008, had directed the state to appoint a new DGP after a fresh selection process.
