The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday announced its third list of candidates for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, naming 15 nominees from various wards across the city. With this announcement, the party has so far declared candidates for 51 wards.
AAP Mumbai President Preeti Sharma Menon said the party had prioritised grassroots workers and civic-minded individuals while finalising its candidates. She noted that at a time when several political parties are struggling to finalise alliances due to political compulsions, AAP has chosen to accommodate its workers and “civic heroes” by fielding them as candidates for the BMC elections 2026.
