ADR registered after 8-year-old boy drowns in swimming pool at Virar resort

Deceased was playing in the children’s pool when he reportedly inhaled water, say Arnala police. The police have registered an accidental death report (ADR) and initiated an investigation.

An eight-year-old boy, Dikshant Venkatesh Harijan, died after drowning in a swimming pool at a resort in Arnala on Tuesday, May 20. He was a resident of the BMC Colony at Santosh Nagar in Goregaon East.

According to the Arnala police, the incident happened on May 20 while Dikshant was swimming in the pool at Dreamland Resort in Virar. The police have registered an accidental death report (ADR) and initiated an investigation. A police officer said, “On Tuesday morning, after breakfast, the group entered the resort’s swimming pool along with Dikshant. He was playing in the children’s pool when water entered his nose and mouth, causing breathing difficulties.
