In a significant development, Akasa Air on Friday announced a partnership with Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL) to operate commercial flights from Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA).
Last month, IndiGo airlines had announced that it will be beginning commercial flight operations from the Navi Mumbai airport from November.
The airline had said said it aims to connect more destinations across India and abroad from NMIA, providing greater access for passengers and helping India move closer to becoming the third largest aviation market by 2030.
