At 530, Mumbai’s daily Covid-19 cases rise significantly

The doubling rate continued to deteriorate and was at 1,253 days on Wednesday. The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent, with 349 more people recovering and returning home.

On Wednesday, both the daily Covid-19 cases and the test positivity rate (TPR) rose significantly. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s report, 530 fresh infections were confirmed throughout the day and the TPR crossed 1 per cent again.

On Tuesday, the city had recorded 353 new cases and the TPR was 0.91 per cent. The TPR rose to 1.09 per cent on Wednesday. The number of daily casualties doubled to four. Three of the deceased patients had comorbidities, two were senior citizens and the other two were aged between 40 years 59 years.
