At least seven meter boxes in a Thane residential apartment were charred after a fire broke out in the meter box room. According to the Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management cell, the blaze was reported in Shivkrupa Society in the city's Naupada area.

According to the officials, the fire broke out in the meter box which is located on the ground floor of this ground+seven structure.
