A man narrowly escaped serious harm after stepping away from a bus queue mere minutes before the mishap unfolded. The man, whose identity has been withheld, was standing in the same line as several other commuters waiting to board the bus, unaware of the danger that was about to strike.

According to Yash, the man’s neighbour, “He stepped aside from the queue for barely two minutes to buy a packet of chips from a nearby shop. That brief pause proved life-saving. He told me that he went to buy chips, and before he could even finish the transaction, he heard shouting and screams from the bus stop.”
