The BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is set to present the annual budget on Saturday and it is likely to touch the Rs 50,000-crore mark. The BMC’s annual budget this year will be presented by the municipal commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal. 

Every year, there is a 10 per cent increase in the BMC budget, this year as well it is expected to reach up to Rs 50,000 crore. In 2021-22, the Budget had a total outlay of Rs 39,083 crore while in 2022-23, the Budget had a total outlay of Rs 45,949 crore.
