HC disposes Sameer Wankhede’s plea seeking protection from coercive action

Mumbai Police have assured the court that a notice of three days will be served to Wankhede before any coercive action

The zonal head of Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) Mumbai unit, Sameer Wankhede, on Thursday, approached Bombay High Court to seek protection from any coercive action in the extortion probe on him.

He said that he is being personally attacked by the state and his apprehends that he could be arrested. He also prayed to the court to transfer his case to CBI or some such central agency.
